About the course

Are you currently working in the construction industry? Maybe you are an employer looking to support your colleagues with their training and development? Our 20 years’ experience of delivering construction management training has helped us to develop a course that works for both employees and employers. Students train for a single day each week throughout the academic year, applying what they have learnt directly to their day-to-day work and continuing to be an asset in the workplace.

Inspiring, challenging and professionally accredited – our programme offers a varied curriculum based on the key themes of management, technology and professionalism. Students develop valuable skills and work closely with industry partners, experienced tutors and the latest in construction technology.

Students develop a full understanding of economic considerations and the industry’s legal framework. Extensive industry involvement ensures that students have a strong working knowledge of the technology and management techniques being used in the sector today.

Problem-solving skills and decision-making are embedded into all of our units. By working on challenging live briefs, students will be able to develop essential teamwork, project management and negotiation skills.

Our accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Building and Chartered Association of Building Engineers demonstrates that the course meets strict standards set by the industry itself. It also gives students the chance to work towards additional professional qualifications alongside their ongoing degree studies.
